I received an email from my dad today that the doctor who delivered both me and my sister had passed away last week. This may not seem out of the ordinary at first, but because I was raised as a Christian Scientist, my sister and I were delivered at home--me at my grandparents' house and my sister in our apartment in Audobon Park.
It is an extremely humbling experience to think about someone who was there the very moment you first arrived on this earth, someone who probably saw you before either of your parents did, has left your life...Bless you, Dr. Duhart.
