So, for New Year's Eve this year, we tried something new...maybe a tradition in the making?
Mom and Dad Burkhardt came over to the house for an awesome dinner of steaks (cooked to perfection by Kevin), guacamole (one of my favorites!), mashed potatoes (or "eggs" as Lanie calls them), and good conversation.
After dinner, as you can see, fun was had by all! Whether it was playing a 2-year-old friendly version of Memory, coloring, Disney DVD trivia (very fun!), or Disney Monopoly (my first time playing...and winning!), we had a wonderful evening! As we predicted, none of us were awake at the actual arrival of 2008, but that's quite alright...we don't usually get to sleep in anymore:)!
